Plot
The film emphasizes the importance of Mary in the life of Jesus, showing that her imagery is inspired by the stories she told in her childhood. This, and similar details about Jesus' parenting, can not be confirmed, but certainly not impossible. The resurrected Jesus also appeared to his mother personally. This event is not found in the Gospels, but it may be based on an ancient Catholic tradition (not an official teaching) that he appeared to the first person of all people. The tradition influenced Ignatius of Loyola Spiritual Practice among others. The film concludes with Mary suggesting the disciples should start preaching about their son.
