Despite earlier claims that he will take a break from his musical career, Gomez confirmed in October 2012 that he is working on new material. Gomez starts the Star Dancing Tour on August 14, 2013. After a tour of North America and Europe, this tour will continue throughout 2014, although Gomez canceled Australia and Asia tours in December 2013, claiming that he will be taking a break to spend time with his family. In January 2014, it was reported that Gomez had spent two weeks at Dawn at The Meadows, which is a treatment center in Wickenburg, Arizona that specializes in treating addiction and trauma to young people.
