Writing career

Born in New York City and raised in the City of Washington, Bergen County, New Jersey, Clark accepted him B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. During college, he began retyping his mother's transcript. He also makes contributions such as changing the name of a location and character. He is the only one of four siblings to be a writer. One thing that influenced this decision was to help her mother. While Mary Higgins Clark tries to juggle steady work and tries to finish her second book, younger Higgins Clark understands this opportunity to familiarize herself with the process of writing a book and telling a fairy tale, not knowing it will be her beginning to become a famous writer. Just like her mother, Clark wrote tension books. One difference in mother and daughter writing is that Clark's books contain a little sense of humor that her mother has, Mary Higgins Clark does not have. All of his novels feature Regan Reilly (a famous recurring character), plot points about male companions, and pantyhose conventions that come from real sources. In his video for NJN Public Television, Clark explains how he used his first work experience to help him with ideas about his book. In his book "Iced", he uses a woman who works in a dry laundry. The woman uncovered the evidence found in the customer's pocket.
