Careers
Initial work

I went to New York for three days to make a model, and then I spent the winter in New York in a basement apartment without a friend's window. I went bankrupt, I took a class at Joffrey Ballet, and my knees gave up. I realized I could not dance anymore, and I was severely depressed. My mother came from South Africa and said, 'Either you know what to do next or you go home, because you can sulk in South Africa'.
