Plot
Ted meets a new boyfriend who turns out to be only slightly younger than 21 (as well as a leather cuff salesman who convinces him to buy leather cuffs), so the gang can not meet him personally at MacLaren's. While she finds her very attractive, their age difference means she has trouble getting in touch with her. When he will surrender and end everything with her, Barney convinces him to try it out, which will allow Barney to live freely through Ted now because Barney is engaged to Robin. Ted finally gives up when he realizes he likes Star Wars. After they had slept together, however, Barney knew that she was actually Carly, her stepbrother. Barney tried to marry Ted and Carly, and mentioned that he found the idea of ââa one-night stand "cheap, insignificant (and) disgusting". Both Ted and Barney later realized that Barney performed with detox from a one-night stand.
Meanwhile, Marshall takes to wearing Ted's leather cuff as Lily turns on. This is despite the fact that her wrists began to swell and eventually gave off a terrible smell. Lily finally explains that she does not need a leather cuff to change it. Afterwards, Lily receives a pair of elastic waist jeans on the post by mistake, which turns out to be a big turn-on for Marshall.
While Barney struggled with his detox, Robin also had his own struggle - he was having trouble getting involved. Where he used to get free stuff by being a beautiful young woman, the ring now seized it - including buying beer at MacLaren. In the end, he wisely solved the problem by asking Barney to buy him a drink.

Critical acceptance
Donna Bowman from the A.V. Club gives episode C. He writes that this episode treats "Barney's long history as a character determined by women" as "either as a source for a lazy joke, or as a matter of story that has to be passed quickly and recklessly because the show can get away with it." He also objected to how Carly's "taste in the recovery-from-sex-addiction business" is because "much less than what this special character deserves."
Max Nicholson from IGN gave the episode a score of 4.9/10 (Poor). Overall, he commented that "none of the stories were drawn as very interesting or incidental, and there was rarely a laugh" and called the episode "one of the bigger outfits this season." He also said it "lacks originality, intelligence and humor - though, there is a lot of falsehood."
Angel Cohn from Television Without Pity gave episode B, but qualified the class as a result of "ratings on this season's curve". Cohn also described the episode as "not terrible" and "not a total torture". Commenting on how the conclusions of the separate stories of Barney and Robin in this episode bring them closer together, Cohn "reluctantly tolerates their cutes 'can I love you more' stuff, because at least it makes them look like real partners... who we want occasionally punching.
