A Mother's Prayer is a 1995 film made for USA Network starring Linda Hamilton, in a Golden Globe nomination show, as a woman who knows she has the AIDS virus and must make a plan to care for his only son. The film, which counted Kate Nelligan, Epapha Merkerson and Bruce Dern in supporting roles, aired on May 25, 1995. It was finally expanded, rated PG-13 and released on VHS via MCA/Universal Home Entertainment in 1997.

Rosemary Holmstrom is struggling to raise her son after the death of her husband. When he was diagnosed with AIDS, he initially refused to believe it, but soon turned his attention to the problem of what would happen to his son when he died.
