Maging Sino Ka Man (lit. Anyone You Maybe ) is a primetime Philippines drama series premiered on ABS-CBN on October 9, 2006 Book 1 ended on May 25, 2007. Due to its success, the sequel aired on December 10, 2007 until March 28, 2008, the drama series ended.

A soap opera that deals elaborate dutiful relationships between the elite and the poor and how socio-economic classes respond to one another, yearning for love and justice, Maging Sino Ka Man revolves around the lives of four main characters (Eli, Jackie, Celine , and JB) each looking for purpose, freedom, and happiness. The soap has been praised by both spectators and critics for its exceptional storyline and outstanding acting. It is characterized as phenomenal and widely spoken online. Repeated subplots include a father's masochistic attitude as a result of his hatred of his deceased mother, an unfaithful wife who redeemed herself as a mother, a business tycoon who was so concerned with power and created a "perfect son", the surrender of her son to Mother which is very strong, the struggle of a young woman to move beyond her pain, a brother's guilt over evil and a vengeful transformation of a man because of the death of his adoptive father. The second book of Maging Sino Ka Man has been announced for airing after the first season, featuring a further plot of life that has left behind the mysteries and questions in Book 1.

Plot

Part 1: Place of Bucolik

The first six weeks of this series lasted for approximately three months. Jackie has lost her memory and can only count on Eli, whom she only knows as her husband, and whom she finally loves. Eli is constantly harassed by the lies he tells Jackie. They live a quiet and simple life, hidden in a small provincial town, with many curious but caring neighbors to help them adjust to their new life. While in the province, Eli got a job working at the mine, where he met the foreman, a man named Oca . Mang Oca recognized the jade locket Eli had worn around his neck and was immediately attracted to Eli, but did not reveal the reason. With Jackie now believed to have died, the Madrigal, Berenguer, and Magsaysay families mourned for their loss. Celine, who for many years has hidden secret love for JB, spends time with her and in the second process eventually develops beginner romance. Their relationship was complicated by the arrival of Kevin Romero (Baron Geisler), a client who kept no secret of his interest in Celine. With JB's support, Celine stands for Kevin's extortion effort and gains confidence in herself. But before the relationship between Celine and JB can develop further, Jackie strikes her head in the fall and wakes up remembering who she is.

Part 2: Jackie's Resurrection

Sunday 7 to 10 returns suddenly. Eli tries to stalk Jackie, only to realize on one occasion that she no longer remembers it or the three months they spend together. Eli finally finds the strength to continue, and with the help of Mang Oca, he returns to school to finish his engineer degree. JB finds himself torn between two love, and does not know how to choose between Jackie and Celine. Celine is unable to confront JB's doubts and finally realizes that she once again lost JB to Jackie. Grieving at the loss of JB, Celine carelessly uses her charm to get a favorable account for the company, but her actions are caught on security cameras. JB is injured and refuses Celine completely, causing him to go drinking and party self-destructive. Jackie's return to her old life brings new preferences, new beliefs, and new habits. Subtle changes to the first puzzle but then make JB angry and his father. But Jackie learned to defend herself. Part of this series also delves deeper into the lives of some secondary characters, especially the estranged Jackie's parents, Fidel (Christopher de Leon) and Monique (Bing Pimentel). Their troubled marriage is revealed in pieces - in her loneliness, Monique has succumbed to the extra-marital mating of her marriage because her husband is emotionally distant. When he found out about the affair, Fidel drove him out of his house and cut him off without a cent. Monique has lived with a gay beauty friend ever since. Also in this section of the series, Eli and JB meet for the first time when Eli comes to JB's rescue during carnapping efforts on JB cars. In a fight, Eli was stabbed and JB rushed to take him to the hospital. Eli earns JB respect by refusing to take money as a gift, and when the two men split up, JB asks Eli not to hesitate to contact him if he needs anything. Overall, Mang Oca continues to keep in touch with Eli, and even steps to help with Eli's college tuition and hospital bills after the stabbing incident.

Part 3: Six Months Next

Weeks 10 to 13 of this series are set six months after Part 2. Celine's mother, Imelda (Irma Adlawan), finally enters and drags her daughter to a rehab center called The Haven. With time, Celine successfully completed the program and in the process met Brian Antonio (Ryan Eigenmann), founder of Haven, who fell in love with her even though Celine still has not fully surpassed JB. Fidel decides to take Jackie to the US for further examination as if because he is bothered by his loss of memory. When they returned to Manila, Jackie was determined to start a business and eventually opened a landscaping and gardening company called Jade Gardens . His constant search for independence and his insistence on seeing his mother confuse and infuriate JB, but he forces himself to adapt and accept because he is determined to make their relationship work. At a wedding, JB and Celine meet for the first time since their bitter argument several months earlier. Their spirit for each other still exists, but they are forced by circumstances to keep their feelings buried.

Part 4: Strengthening Plot

Jackie's memory seems to be coming back, because she has found the province where she and Eli lived during her memory loss. However, the memory is still vague and he does not remember Eli's involvement. Meanwhile, she and Eli become closer, deeply worried about her father. JB finally confesses eternal love for Celine, but succumbs to Corazon's emotional blackmail after a suicide attempt, and asks Jackie to marry him. Celine party is sad at night, until Brian comes for her. Jackie is disappointed when Eli decides to quit his job at Jade Gardens, for fear that Jackie's memory will return soon. Her upcoming departure prompts Jackie to confess her love for her. He then returns his engagement ring to JB. When JB rushed to Celine, however, he was late; he's married to Brian. Fidel began a tentative reconciliation with his estranged wife, Monique, and eventually asked him to move back to Madrigal's home, greatly pleased Jackie and his worried Corazon. But their reconciliation was short-lived when Corazon sabotaged their relationship with some of Monique's well-placed photos with other men. Fidel threw Monique out of the house.

Part 5: Return Time

Eli and Jackie eloped but Fidel and JB chased and attacked Eli before bringing Jackie back home. With Celine's help, Jackie finally escapes from her father and fiancee. Fidel sends people to get information from Dadoods and Pong, who were beaten for silence. Eli and Jackie return to the barrio when Jackie finally remembers everything... and feels betrayed. He promises to keep Eli's secret, but leaves her even though she begs him to stay. Jackie's driver finally wakes up and tells Fidel that Jackie has been lost during the kidnapping attempt. Eli and JB got into a fight and Eli landed in jail. Pong turns to Celine for help, and he redeems Eli. Eli returns to the hospital to find that Dadoods has died of his injuries while he is in jail. Imelda finds Jackie at Celine's house and summons Fidel. Pong was arrested after one of the kidnappers handed him over. Eli was furious and frustrated when he found Pong badly beaten in prison. Eli pleads to Fidel for Pong's life, but Fidel pushes him and spits on him. Mang Oca finally tells Eli about her missing past. Finding Eli's jade locket locket in her backyard and realizing it was one of the Roxas Patriarchs (Don Roxas, Dona Corazon's father and Mamu G) wearing in a photograph at Roxas's ancestral home, Celine went to Corazon. He found a sense of victory when he saw Corazon begging who owned the necklace. The possibility that Corazon might be Eli's mother, and that he (Corazon) is also cheap, a point Corazon never fails to emphasize to him (Celine) whenever they're together, ironically enough. Corazon and Celine go to Eli and tell him that he may be Roxas, but Eli laughs at him and reveals that he already knew before throwing them out of his house. Corazon is in sadness as he remembers giving Eli's baby to Fidel a few years ago.

Part 6: The Lost Truth

Corazon takes a DNA test, and discovers that Eli is a Roxas. He then reveals to JB that Eli is his cousin. The scene changes: Eli goes into a room and bumps into Mamu G. Mamu G looks at Eli and sees the locket. There was a long flashback, and Mamu G soon recovered from an extreme depression when her memory returned. She hugged Eli, very excited. Corazon then approached Mamu G, who slapped her face. Corazon demands to know why, stating that he has been taking care of Mamu G for a long time, and deserves to be grateful for his care and help. Console JB Corazon, said that Mamu G is still in recovery process, and maybe they should do a check first to see if he has recovered completely. Indeed, he has. Left without a doubt that Mamu G acted on his own behalf, Corazon asked him why. Mamu G angrily asks Corazon how he can kill, and will not listen when Corazon tries to explain, on the grounds that he just wants her baby taken away, not to be killed. Mamu G tells Corazon that the opposite is what Eli told him and what Fidel commanded. Corazon visits Fidel, angry over his betrayal. She asks him how he can do that when he believes it for years. Now, because of him, even his relationship with his sister was destroyed. Fidel told him it was Mamu G's fault, and he was forced to do so. Eli reunited with her mother, who only makes JB jealous. He insulted Eli, saying money was everything Eli wanted from Mamu G. Angry on the jibe, Eli replied that JB did not know him well, and so had no right to tell it to him. Eli joins RSL with retaliation in mind, and asks for JB's position in the company. Corazon agrees, on the surprise of his son, because he feels he has committed a grave sin on Mamu G and has to seek vengeance. Mamu G found out what happened, and who entertained JB. Then, JB came to Mamu G for dinner - with Jackie. Faced with an uncomfortable eating prospect on the same table as Eli, Jackie wants to leave soon. JB, however, will not let him, and brags to Mamu G and Eli about their wedding at dinner, apparently to make Eli jealous.

Part 7: New Eli, Rich

Eli is now rich and powerful. This is the part where Dadoods was killed because of Fidel and JB, and his brother here's part in prison, and his life is really in hell when his relationship with Jackie is destroyed. His anger with Fidel and JB flourished. He wants revenge, which makes him make an unknown plan. He then decided to leave RSL and take all his shares from the company. Corazon gets angry and tells him that he can not do that or their business will collapse. Eli immediately assured him, and Corazon's company started losing a lot of money. People are angry with Corazon and JB. Eli then wants to take his money from Fidel's bank, but it seems the bank does not have enough money to turn the check into cash. Eli was angry. He complains to Fidel about his company, and even threatens Fidel that he will ruin his reputation. Fidel is angry.

Part 8: Redemption

Fidel shows signs of compassion for Jackie. One day, she overhears Jackie talking to Celine, saying that sometimes she does not want to open her eyes again. He also said that every day his life was manipulated that he felt he was dead. Fidel sees that Jackie is depressed and sad, sometimes not even eating. She really manipulates her life, and she realizes how much she has been mean to her. One morning, Jackie wakes up and sees Fidel serving breakfast for him. She asks why, and she replies that it's not bad to give her breakfast occasionally, since she has not eaten much for some time. Jackie silently thanked her, and Fidel smiled. Then, Jackie sees Fidel really tired and stressed out with his work. He was a little worried, and served breakfast to Fidel the next day. Surprised, he cried. "The best coffee... For the best dad," was the one Jackie used to say. Fidel is very excited, saying he thinks he'll never hear that again. He says that he's sorry for everything he's done, and says it's not fair for him to throw Monique out of the house for granted. Jackie was excited, and they both hugged.

Part 9: The Big Twist

Oca still manipulates Eli's mind. With Eli's plan to bankrupt Fidel's company, Jackie had to meet Eli and ask him to stop, Eli said yes at his request, but in return Jackie had to marry her. Jackie ran away from her house, crying, not before saying NO big fat one to her. The next day was JB and Jackie's wedding. JB promised himself to be a good husband for Jackie. The guests and the groom had arrived and were waiting for Jackie. Jackie stepped into her wedding car with a determined look on her face. The servants were riding in front of the bridal car when they saw Jackie's car swinging the other way. The waiters called Fidel about what happened that prompted JB to get into his car and drive him. When he finally caught him, he found the car empty that made him feel fit. Later, it was shown that Eli and Jackie signed a marriage contract. They marry, but not out of love. Eli marries Jackie for his last retribution on Fidel, while Jackie marries Eli to save his father's company. Jackie refuses to let Eli kiss her on their wedding day. JB returns to his drinking habits and shoots Eli on his shoulders after returning from the bar. Oca told JB that if Eli sued him, he would rot in prison. But Eli did not file a case against JB. Celine sees her real JB memories scrapbook. He burned it. Oca ordered Pong's beating in jail. Pong then suffers from a traumatic disorder. Eli blames Don Fidel for this and refuses to hear what he says.

Don Fidel then sees Oca, and they argue. Oca shoots Jackie's father, who then falls down the stairs. Don Fidel was then rushed to the hospital, and Jackie was seen crying. DoÃÆ' Â ± a Corazon (JB's mother) visits him and tells him that because he is sick he deserves to receive everything that happens. Monique then handles Fidel, who tells him that he's sorry for everything. Mamu G told Eli to let Fidel go.

Part of 10 Malang Accident

Eli and Jackie quarrel about what happened to Fidel. A few hours later, Jackie and Celine went out to eat. While there Oca calls Eli that he will do something bad to Jackie and Celine. So Eli and Brian try to save Jackie and Celine, they are picked up. Oca overtakes Eli and tries to crash into their car. Immediately tips Eli's car more than 4 times and Brian, Celine, Jackie, and Eli are left bleeding. For a while, Celine and Brian got up and talked about them loving each other and would miss each other. Immediately the ambulance came and took them to the hospital. Meanwhile, Oca committed suicide by drowning himself. They recover from their accident and Celine wakes up and starts asking about Brian. He knew that Brian was dead and he was pregnant. He asks the doctor how could he not lose the baby during the accident, the answer is that Brian moved into the back seat to protect Celine. At Brian's funeral, Jackie tries to talk to Celine, but is ignored. Eli suffers 2 broken legs from the accident JB wants to have time with Celine's daughter to try to get Celine Eli wants to part with Jackie where she does not want to happen. About a week, Corazon faces Celine and gets into a fight that causes Celine to bleed. Celine was taken to the hospital by Jackie and was told she had a miscarriage. Later, JB starts a fight with Corazon and tells her that he hates him. He left his mother shortly afterward. About half a year later, it was Jackie's birthday, which Eli forgot. When Jackie is on his way home, he sees JB walking and greets "Happy Birthday." Eli spies to see JB and Jackie talking.

Part 11: New Life

JB left home to work as a miner. During the break, he hears something in the woods and sees a girl swimming while JB is hiding so that the mysterious girl does not see it. He later found a job as a singer at a beach bar owned by Amang, whose right hand was tampered with. Amang and JB developed father-son relationships as JB shared his knowledge of taxes and business. JB, here, is a humble person, often calling Mommy G and sending Celine letters while she is still struggling to move away from Brian's death.

Eli, meanwhile, thought Tomas Arroyo was his long-lost father but was mistaken. He stopped looking for his father, when he found out that it hurt his mother. Mommy G reveals that she can not tell Eli's dad that she's pregnant with him.

Celine has difficulty dealing with the loss of her husband who placed her in a war against Jackie. Celine then realizes her mistake and makes amends with Jackie with a bucket of ice cream. Celine, in an effort to move out, sells her house and leaves Marsha to care for her mother-in-law.

Eli also finds out that Jackie really missed his parents. After receiving a letter from Oca [written before he died] it was revealed that Jackie & amp; Eli's marriage is fake and she releases it. Jackie left for the United States but still clearly fell in love with Eli.

A few months later, Jackie's mother, Monique felt Jackie's emptiness. She lets her daughter back with Celine to take care of what's bothering her. Upon arrival, Jackie and Celine learn that Eli went to their own remote farm. There, they meet Eli again and renew their relationship, though it still looks platonic.

Corazon suffers from embarrassment because he can not pay his bills plus the fact that he can not get along well with his neighbors. He was saved financially by Tomas Arroyo who fell in love with him but seemed too possessive of him.

Celine and JB can finally resolve their conflicts and find the strength to love each other again. Eli learns about the identity of his father, Samuel. She denied the recognition but still felt complete. Eli proposes a marriage with Jackie and he is shot by his secret enemy, risking his life. Eli seeks enlightenment in the spirit world, thanks to Dadoods and finds new energy for life again, after a long battle against death.

Finale Book 1: A Nail-Biting Ending

Corazon decides to stop by the hospital to pay for Eli's visit, and Gloria sees it, glad that his sister shows signs of apprehension for his beloved son. Corazon then arrogantly said that he was in hospital not out of concern, but to watch Eli slowly die. This angered Gloria, and without the slightest hesitation, she slapped her sister in the face, angry at the words that Corazon said. At home, bad luck disguised as crazy about Corazon, when Thomas greets him, asks for his whereabouts, and finally tells him that he's been waiting for him all night. He then shows him around the house, and Corazon notices flowers everywhere, with Thomas proudly saying that they are all from him. He then shows an expensive-looking necklace, which he places on his neck choking him. He was again overcome by a sadistic jealousy and defeats Corazon. Meanwhile, Eli returns to the fountain with Dadoods, and tells Dadoods that inexplicably, he's always taken to a certain place. Dadoods explains that it's the only place that listens to it, and Eli asks that if the place really listens, then why he's not taken back to Jackie's arm, to end his misery. Dad explains that he can end his misery by releasing his grip on Jackie! Eli says no, and Dadoods explains that he is slowly losing his grip on the world, because he can not see Pong anymore. Dad then tells Eli how much he loves them. Eli recalled his own life, and he seemed to say goodbye to Jackie. In the fountain, he was swallowed up by the light, breathed a prayer to God, and plunged himself into the fountain. At the hospital, Jackie faithfully keeps Eli, cries and hopes that the love in her life will magically be revived. And it seems as if all hope is lost, because Eli lost his pulse. Jackie threw herself on top of Eli, crying, praying that Eli was not taken from her. He then felt the heartbeat of Eli, and he suddenly came back to life, so much fun for Jackie. In another part of the country, a slum woman, along with a mysterious girl, meets up with Samuel, and stares at Eli's photo. Who is this person, and what role will he play in Eli's life? Shortly thereafter, a wedding invitation reached Tomas and Corazon, but Tomas forbade Corazon to go, as he seemed to lose the invitation, all battered and bloodied in Tomas's own hands. This is an exciting moment when the Eli minus Corazon family, as well as Jackie's mother, all gather for Eli and Jackie's wedding ceremony. Celine quietly said, "I love you," to JB, while Eli and Jackie changed their wedding vows. After that, a mysterious woman dressed in black approached the newlyweds, wishing them luck. A Eli confusedly asks who he is, but he only gives a vague answer: he will meet him soon. Maging Sino Ka Man consists of four lives, four hearts and four people seeking happiness in a complicated world. Everyone is ready to risk everything... but of course all for the sake of love.

Awards and recognition and entertainment

At the 2007 USTV Student Awards on Television by the University of Santo Tomas, phenomenal soaps were won as Best Drama Series while John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo won Best Actor and Best Actress awards, respectively. While at the 2007 PMPC Star Awards, the same soap won as the Best Primetime Drama Series while John Lloyd Cruz won Best Actor Drama award. In the 2007 Children TV Seal Awards, the series won as one of the 10 Most Preferred TV Programs in America.

In 2007, blockbuster comedy Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo used scenes where JB was confronted by Celine played by Anne Curtis "Hindi Madali Yun!" and Luis Manzano boasted the character of Sam Milby, JB "I Never Say That I Love You!".
